Upper Back Pain
Causes
As people age,
it’s no denying that there are a few aches and pains that
we sometimes experience. Upper back pain is a torture
especially when you don’t know what the main
upper back pain causes are. Study shows
that almost 90% of adults have experience the said pain
and yet can’t really tell where the origin of the pain
comes from. This may sound alarming but it is actually
very common especially to those of the working
class.
Besides the
never ending stress that we experience every day, there
are a lot of reasons as to why we experience upper back
pain. Understand that upper back pain can range from
mild, severe, recurring and it can also be temporary. If
what you are experiencing is a mild and temporary pain,
there is no need to be alarmed. This alone can be
relieved with a simple back
massage.
So what
other causes can an upper back pain
occur?
Here are some
of the possible reasons why:
· Bad
Posture – among all causes, a poor posture is
rated as one of the most common causes of upper back pain.
Sometimes people are not aware that they have a bad posture.
They could be hunched often or slouching but most of the time,
this is due to the nature of their work
too.
· Weight
Gain - If you are a bit of heavy or you are
carrying excess weight, then this could also be a reason why
you have a bad posture. Our body can only tolerate much weight,
so if you are bit overweight, this could also trigger upper
back ache.
· Being exposed
to extreme heat and cooling off right away –
our muscles need to adjust to the temperature of our
surroundings as we cool off. Exposing to air conditioning right
away may also be a factor. Also, a sweat drenched back can set
off an aching back if you are not
careful.
· Laborers – if your work involves
lifting heavy objects manually like cargos and the likes, upper
back ache will occur as well since it has been strained too
much.
· Weak
strength – if you have weak muscles between
your shoulder blades, chances are this will cause you problems
over time. Lack of strength is also another cause of upper back
pain.
The list of
causes could go on and on. The ones I have mentioned are
only a few yet the most common cause of upper back pain.
Keep in mind that in order to get the right treatment for
your back pain, you also have to know where it
originates. This way you can be given the appropriate
treatment for the right
location.
Our health is
our only wealth. We can never do anything once sickness
struck us. Maybe it can be a simple case of upper back
pain or not, do keep yourself alert for anything that
might cause you to slow down. After all this is your
body, guard it and take good care of it so you may live a
long and happy life.
